This is my favorite album by Mexican death metal stalwarts The Chasm, by a wide margin. All the meandering, proggy excursions of previous releases have been brutally curtailed in favor of mountains on mountains of riffs, and the result is a release that is tighter and more focused than any of their output in the last decade+.
Consider my interest renewed. Patiently awaiting the next one. Ghuughra

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

I wasn't big on these guys on record, but then I saw them live and that guitar tone translates *really* well. They gained a fan at that show, even if I still think they could trim some fat. zirtonic

One more outstanding band with Phil Tougas on a guitar. Modern and more brutal take on old school intricate prog tech-death (Cynic/Atheist) style. Very good album, with diverse moods, unexpected tempo changes, fantastic fretless bass work, lyrical interludes and other typical style's traits. Highly recommended Dmitry Nevozhay

Gnarled, contorted, murky, chaotic, worm vocals. Evenfall of the Apocalypse is checking all the boxes on my deathmetal checklist. Another stellar release from a stellar crew. Ascended Dead never dissapoint. Ghuughra
